Game crashes when ship finishes building

I'm working on a ship for our mod and when it finishes building (or when i place it via map editor) it makes the game minimize itself (only on the first monitor) and won't open back up. What's odd is that it only happens for 1 avatar variation of the ship. I made sure that the only differences between the crashing odf and a non crashing version are changes that wouldn't cause this. So what could do it?

Are the weapons in the odf spelt correctly?

ok, like tyler said.  it could have to do with weapons, psychics, even sprites.  But it is usually because of weapons missing, or misspelled.

Missing physics never crashed my game, the ship just won't move (and gets stuck inside the yard.

By 'Psychics', I assume you meant 'physics'? There is a little difference...

I have gotten a crash from an error  in the physics file though.

I encountered a similar problem when I was making a custom ship.

Did you make a seperate .odf file of the ship for each avatar?

Ive had my game crash to the desktop with messed up ships but no minimize... are you sure the game window minimizes?

Yes iv'e made a separate ship for each avatar.
It minimizes, which is what makes it so strange..

that's strange. are you sure it minimizes the game, or does it switch to windowed mode? as soon as a crash occurs (faulty odf), fleet operations switches to window mode to show it's exception box...

I'm sure... I just tried it by setting fed_saber.odf's weapon to a nonexistent one and it did the same thing. You can try it yourself!
