Hey guys, I've had an idea. If I were to host a class on how to mod Fleet Ops, say, next Saturday, would people be interested? I would basically just set up a Twitch stream with everything that's happening on my screen and do a walkthrough of the basics, then once I get my prepared bit out of the way I'd let the group decide what they want to know more about. I would also enjoy talking about map-making and some of the things I've learned (mostly through trial and error)

Once Version 4 comes out, a portion of this knowledge will become obsolete, but I think it's fun just to learn and understand, and studying Fleet Ops has certainly given me a better understanding of how other games are designed as well. My specialty is the design and coding aspect, and although I don't know much about modeling I can at least point to the files and tell you what programs are needed to create them. Maybe if there is enough interest, someone who does that stuff can get on with me and fill in the gaps in my knowledge :D

That's a good point. I know that Twitch.tv has some recording ability but I don't know how much. I'll look into it.

Open Broadcaster Software can simultaneously stream to Twitch and record, so can be considered as an option.
