Fleet Operations Lite is Here!!!!

This charade is going to end one way or another!  Here's a screenshot of the page that is posted.  Look at what has been circled.  I knew that this Fleet Ops Lite was a lie the moment I clicked the link!  It's disgusting how much glory a rip-off of an older version of something can get when claiming to be something else!

It's Fleet Ops 2.0 Beta, nothing more.

you can make crude photoshops as much as you want tim, it wont convince people of your lies. for all we know YOU just went to the beta 2 page yourself and were not following the fo lite 2 link. did u really think just taking a screenshot of that page would convince anyone of your lies? are you really that jealous of the fo lite team? just accept that you were beaten and congratulate them on a great game. also i dont trust anything internet explorer displays, you could click 1 link and it takes you somewhere else.

Jesus, this has gone on long enough.

TCR, please realise that this whole thing was NOT a "rip-off", trying to make people think Beta 2 is a new "Lite" mod. IT WAS AN APRIL FOOL. The other guys are just playing around with you now because you fell for it, though not quite in the intended way.

I can't believe I had to actually explain this.

As for the impersonation... whoever you are: come on, that's a bit too far. Remember, IPs are collected, this kind of thing is against the rules and on most websites would get the member doing it (both the fake and your normal handle) banned.

Well, in that case, have nothing to do with it then! Don't come into the thread all guns blazing because it's a "rip-off" and a fake. People will just make fun of you for being gullible... which, I'm afraid, is what has happened here.

The thing with the Internet is you can't put your own rules and way of thinking to what other people post. You have to take what people say in the spirit THEY mean by it. If you are aware of things like April Fools', you need to be able to notice them in other peoples' posts, because they happen whether you want to participate or not. The best you can do is just ignore it. Don't fight it's existence.

Now, I suggest just being a grown up. Man up to falling for it, laugh it off, and move on.

Yeah, let's not cross the line of good taste, gang.  Direct impersonations cross one of those dignity lines and as the English say, "It's bad form".   This thread has been funny, has lasted a few days longer than I think poor Imnotmal intended it to; that tireless modder who will continue to work day and night with no sleep, no food, and no women (Ok, there may be women involved) until he has created the perfect FO mod. ).

An important part of a good joke is knowing when to end it and to not grief people too much.  So with that, let's end this one here.   Besides, some of us have to get Primi back for his April Fool's joke. >:(

lol i agree with everything atlantis said. if you dont wanna take part in april fools, be more aware of it. this was obviously an april fools joke, imnotmal even did 1 last year for april fools. tbh i didnt expect anybody would bite and actually believe it as real. congrats imnotmal, you clever fella you.

Well, let's just cool our jets here and learn der lesson - April Fools is awesome (and only for one day  ), but don't take it too far
