Ok, so I was adding ships and stations to the game and On certain objects when I put my mouse over them the spinning error sod appears inside of it.  Has anyone experienced this before, and do you know how to fix it?

The SOD must not be properly refered to... either that or the SOD is corrupted.

...... Umm... Okay it could be the first one more likely than the second one.

so the models appear fine up until you hover them with the mouse where then additionally to the correct model an error sod appears?

Exactally.  I would post a pic, but it would be a spoiler, so I will hole off until absolutely necessary.

wht?!?  What is a selection sod?  the ring around the station?

ok, that was it, but now it crashes after I select it.  is there anything else like that that might be missing?

The stack stuff in the error report says something like StringCopy

ok, I will do that.  Should I send it to the error report email, or yours?

Also I changed the cursor just now, and it crashes, so I will put it back the way it was before I changed it, then I will send it to you.

Strange, I have never encountered problems like this in all my time writing odfs.

ok, i haven't received your mail yet, i guess you are not done yet with reversing the changes to the cursor. it's 00:44 here right now so i can only give you some directions from what you told me before i go to bed. the crash could be caused by a too long odf name for a weapon or sprite or by a non terminated string (tooltip etc). hope that helps somehow.
good night :)

That sounds right.

I am grill'in burgers atm, so I haven't had time to do it yet, but I will do it asap.

looks like an issue with the associated sound events, however could also be caused by something else that is overwriting the ids of the sound events in memory which again could be a too long string somewhere.

So are strings refered to as only tooltips and things in the D_L_S.h file, or is there something else refered to as strings?
