I thought I had a handle on ODFs but I can't figure out what ties the research ODFs for an ability to the actual ability ODFs.

To be clear:

fedR_impulse doesn't refer to the fed_impulse (or fed_impulseA) ODF that it supposedly activates. Where are these connections made? In another ODF?

Okay, in my idiocy I've stumbled across a new problem with a similarly obvious answer (most likely). I created my ability which has to be researched, and can research it, but it has no icon (and no tooltip, but that I can find out later).

How do I give it an icon? Again I can't find the line within the ODF (and if it existed there, it would match the icon from the ability I copied) so I guess it's elsewhere, in .SODs possibly? I don't know how to work those. Do I need to?

Gotcha, and the Tooltips are in the Dynamic_Localized_Strings.h file?

and the button you add will either have to already be in the game, or you will have to make a new one.  I can give instruction on how to make buttons if you need it. :thumbsup:

Also that I have little idea what most of the numbers mean when assigning a button in the gui_global.spr file.
