and thousands of newtons, they obey the cap, but every time u blow one up, they build another. they prioritise the newton, then send it alone into battle.

I'm pushing this thread way off topic ,but I'm playing on normal and I just don't get how the AI isn't eating up all of his supplies.  His fleet is always huge and he throws it away on my base and defenses frequently.  I run out of supplies and have to build more just to get one strike together and it always seems to fail to make much headway even towards the enemy base before another enemy fleet is attacking.

AI's are inherently stupid than we are.  They have to cheat in order to provide us with even a remote challenge.

Thus, the computer gets a massive decrease in it's resource usage per ship and station.  I don't for sure, but I believe that they don't actually USE supplies because they'd never know how or when to buy them.

Just assume that the enemy AI doesn't need resources.  Destroying some of their mining facilities will slow them down as they are programmed to keep a certain amount of resources.

And really you should make your own topic about this instead of de-railing another :).

Technically, this is his topic...

But there are plenty of other topics that can explain how to win.  I don't know if the guide covers AI strategy, but I'm sure the strategies still apply.

Last word here, because I've solved this thread and will either move on to play the game or not, but there is no way the AI mines meaningfully at all.

I finally won a game last night on normal.  It was a decently long affair.  The AI lost well over 150 ships of various types.

However, I found and destroyed a total of 6 resource harvesting ships the entire game.  Attacking mining ships and facilities seems a completely worthless strategy now (disrupting AI mining was a big part of Armada 1 strategy).

Oh well.  This AI might cheat too much to keep my interest in the game.
