Hi im trying to get my federation ai to work again, i modified my shipyards to build veteran ships, how do i modifiy the build list so that the federation builds more than a couple of antares shipyards, construction ships and a newton? (I've already tried adding the r6 to the names of the ships in the AI build list) anything i can do?

im trying to get my federation ai to build veteran ships, right now it only building veteran sabers, and a few at that, i want the ai to go all the way and i tried adding the r6 to the end of every combat ship but that didn't work. i've already looked at that page and it didn't really have the information im looking for. all i need to know is if i need to add the r6 next to every combat ship or not, also i tried to get a constitution_refit, Miranda, Hero and Iowa classes to work but no luck, ill try again because i was having a crash error that had to do with a spacedock model i just put in.

Well, as long as you correctly added the veteran designation to each appropriate build entry (as they are listed in the ODFs) then it should work fine (if you want it to build only rank6 ships).
You'll have to provide more information about the consitution_refit, Miranda, Hero and Iowa classes - did you correctly add them to a build list for instance?

i think i added the Constitution, Hero, Iowa and Miranda correctly the thing is whenever the AI get to where it will build Miranda's for the first time the AI Debugger says 'NO PRODUCER' does this mean its not in the right shipyard? I added the Miranda to the shipyards something else then?

I'm not precisely sure if the no producer stuff actually works anymore in Fleet Ops - is it actually building the Miranda?

Do veteran ships require a techtree entry? The techtree doesn't seem to be coming up.

Techtree won't matter in this case because the build lists don't require it (as set by that boolean at the beginning )

It is not building a Miranda, I've got it building Veteran Intrepids, Sabers, and Novas. On my build list I have the Miranda as part of Military Phase 1. Then in phase 2, 3, 4, and final phases i include the other ships. Also, not related to Federation AI but the Borg AI. When I play against the Borg on Merciless difficulty, the AI doesn't build above Tech level one, so no cubes or anything. I did the AI Debugger and also got a 'no producer' message that i couldn't build Dodecahedron/relay (not sure if i spelled that right). Any ideas?

Can you build the Miranda properly (maybe it's something wrong with the ship itself)? I'm afraid it's a bit hard for me to diagnose the issue from a distance, so sorry this is taking awhile
. Is the tech level maybe ending before the Miranda can produce (can you try subbing out "fed_intrepidZ" for this Miranda) ? Just two ideas - I hope one works 
What did you change with the Borg AI? Or is nothing changed, and it's always been stuck on tech level 1? For the latter, usually that happens if you've got infinite resources on or something like that - or perhaps something was corrupted upon installation

Ill try substituting the Intrepid for Miranda and/or just switching them around. I didn't change anything in the Borg AI. I do tend to play games with infinite resources, perhaps there will be a patch in the next version that allows the Borg to go all the way?

. Yeah, all the AI's have trouble with infinite resources, though I'm not sure why. It's always recommended to play on lower resources for that reason (heck, you can always just 'give' yourself extra resources, and it'll be practically the same thing)

Here's the thing though, even on infinite resources, the Romulans and Dominion players all seem to go all the way building everyting they can, I haven't seen any Klingon Negh'vars though maybe thats the same problem. BTW switching the Intrepid and Miranda seemed to help, but now it won't build Phalanx-class ships even though i've got the right designators, I'll just remove them and see what happens
