Gentlemen:

I'd like to know if there are settings in place in the Map-Editor to command an AI-placed "nuetral" ship to be set on patrol.  Example is:

Say if I had a Ferengi D'Kora Marauder that is set on Player 8 (which is empty as the map contains only 6 players) and I've set it to Yellow Alert.  Now I would like this nice little Ferengi Peace-Keeper to patrol and area of the map.  By setting up point with alt-G one can set a straight line of a path.  In the settings for each unit itself there seem to be some lines for simple commands.

Question is:  will one of these allow for a simple initial command?  And if so, what is it?

Danke.

What if you press cntrl e and then tell it to patrol, then save the map?

A very interesting idea as well as an excellent suggestion - have you tried Unleash Mayhem's potential solution yet Boggz?

That would require putting it to team 1, then doing the solution, then putting it back to Team 8... Wouldn't that cancel out the command?

I think so too - but only one way to test  :sweatdrop: . Another way should be to use the Assault Map feature; I think you can get patrolling to work in there, but a chat with Redmanmark would be necessary as I know nothing of that sort of thing  :sweatdrop:

Hmm ... Well I just got back from the Doctor (I'm healthy so you can all put away your Voodoo dolls) and took a look at your solutions.  I haven't tried actually telling it to patrol yet... I"ll see what I can do about that.
