adding a weapon to an existing ship

im trying to add a weapon to a ship i've added the weapon line and i know its correct but i do not see it fire is this because it does not have a hardpoint?  what are the codes to get added weapons to work i know cloaking does not require a hardpoint as i've done that before and got them to work.

an example to help you understand what im saying  say for some reason I want to add quantum torpedoes to a level 4 rank Miranda II  what wouldi have to do other than

Weapon8 = "insert weapon"

The weapon number has to be exactly 1 highter than the last default weapon and the Hp from the Quantum Pulse weapons should be good for Quantum Torps.

All weapons need a hardpoint, some just use "root" simce it doesn't matter where they go.

I have a Galaxy Venture ready, but haven't e-mailed the creator yet.

Well, I can't actually reach him because the e-mail won't send. It's the 'Michael Kelly' version created with the Deemon version as a a base. Should I put it up anyway?

well its still doing the error and it does it right when going from gold silver bar to 2 gold bars  so im sure it has something to do with the level 5 odf either in the r5 or Mr5

The crash should be another weapon mistake, or something else misspelled. :sweatdrop:

well the odf is in this thread  and Ive looked at it many times the only error I see is the - that should be a =  and that's fixed now.  Im stumped the game plays fine till a Miranda levels up from gold silver to Gold Gold  than boom crash out of memory error

I can't find anything, but you might want to give the Cloak a hardpoint entry.
