The recent patch 3.1.5 renames some ODF variables to match their Armada 2 counterparts. The following list should help you converting ODFs.

  • Resources
    All references to the following resources have been renamed. This includes the costs in ODFs, as well as well as classlabel-specific variables like addTritanium of the ResourceWeapon, for example
      [li]tritan or tritanium -> latinum
    • supply -> biomatter
    [/li]
  • Generic
      [li]SysTrg -> hidden
    • effectSOD -> particleArt
    • lensflare -> flareSprite
    [/li]
  • Trigger
      [li]classlabel trigger -> u_ball_obj
    • BufferTime -> lifeTimer
    [/li]
  • InstantEnergy
      [li]classlabel InstantEnergy -> BorgEnergyEmitter
    [/li]
  • Revealing
      [li]classlabel Revealing -> clairvoyance
    [/li]
  • Modifier
      [li]classlabel Modifier -> deathchant
    [/li]
  • Drainer
      [li]classlabel Drainer -> micro
    • DrainingType -> affectedSystem
    [/li]
  • Eventstart
      [li]classlabel eventstart -> utribeam
    • triggerODF -> objectName
    [/li]

erg.... I was never a fan of the stock codes once I saw the FO codes. My modding copy will then have to be selectively patched, me having to extract the patched material manually and put it in myself.

Call me stubborn. But I'll stick to 3.14 for modding.

just a question, why did u go back to stock names? ie why call biomatter biomatter instead of supply? doesnt affect me since i cant mod to save my life. just curious :sweatdrop:

It was to work alongside existing modding guides and to help ease in A2 modders into FO I guess :)

thats nice of them, i guess they dont write their odfs by hand anyway so it wont affect them negatively.

Other than driving me nuts trying to correct the modding guide, and substitutions in the Fleet Ops Dynamic Strings List  :lol:

The automatic tool used substituted ALL references to Biomatter, Latinum etc - including the Dynamic Strings List. Doesn't affect modding, don't worry :)
