I believe that these links will help you to get the map editor to work in stock Armada II:

http://armada2.filefront.com/info/mapeditortut
http://armada2.filefront.com/file/Armada_II_Map_Editor_Manager;35925

These two pages from the Official Star Trek website could also be helpful to you as well:

http://www.startrek.com/boards-topic/33217241/Armada-2-Map-editor_1121480377_33217241

Also, the Armada II Upgrade Project Vanilla Ultimate 2.0.0 has a Map Editor already built in if you install it, to use this upgrade project you'll also need a new GUI Interface for the Romulans. If you choose to use this mod, I'll give you the edited/fixed Romulan GUI file so you can play as the Romulans.

To use this mod's map editor, just click on the file that says: "Universe Map Editor", it gives you a list of maps, the options to edit maps, (click on the map name first, or double click the name), or there's a button with the option to create new maps as well.

Had to split some posts to keep this thread on topic.

Onika, I suggest launching Fleet Operations. From there, the following steps :)

1. Click "Map Editor" from the main Fleet Ops menu
2. Select a map you want to edit
3. Click "Edit Map"
4. When done editing, press "control" and "s" to save your map

Doodads for dil/tri etc can be found in "Map Objects" -> "Tileset: Asteroids (resources)"

You navigate by hitting the proper "F" key. To go up a menu, you hit "tab". To change "teams" for non playable units you hit "shift" and an arrow key.
