Im really getting into map editing.
This one is less for gameplay (while i still had that in mind), and more for the trek experience.
it only has 5 players as its supposed to be each race.
The player in the centre has slightly more moons then the rest as he tends to become an AI target.
you will tell me that there are not alot of moon pairs, this was done on purpose as it forces more tactics into play, Huge fleets dont work as well as planned strikes against resources.
The map has some interesting phanomina iv put together including a destroyed planet, HUGE negula and some hidden worm holes, iv also left asteroid fields to even up play.
There are resources scattered everywere, some of them if you follow dust trails you will get to new resources, others are hidden.
The AI is brutal on this map even on medium.
PLZ give feedback, this is my first map.
there is no display map just starting points... dont add one the map is supposed to be a mystery until you explore it.

I liked it. I played it on EZ mode (i.e., I picked Borg) and filled up the other slots with all the other races. The map is very pretty, and it was fun to stroll around looking at everything while I robbed the other races of their individuality and brought them closer to perfection by cutting off their limbs and replacing them with cybernetic prothstetics.

Play this map if you're too tired to play multiplayer, but want to go for a lazy Sunday drive in the Fleet Ops universe.

I love this map. it is well thought out and i like the randomness to it.

awsome, iv got 2 similare ones one th way, one has a huge asteroid field with pockets of resources in it, should be done but tonight 
the other is large with lots of hidden resources and choke points, that one is about a day away

Ok its finaly done, iv tested it alot, the AI works fine, the map is balanced and FPS is good.
Its an asteroid field maze, the blocking is good as i can see through testing if you find any problems or bugs post them.
Description:
Its a 32000 X 32000
6 players
The map is a large maz with about 9 large corridors and over a dozen smaller pathways, some are diguised. There is alot of hidden resources in this map, look around exploring as a must, there are concealed wormholes and one small path barly big enough for a borg cube thats over 1/4 of the map long. There are dustfields hiding alot of path entries and resources.
Alot of the paths have divides and other paths stemming of them, The mini map will not show the smaller paths... this was done ON PURPOSE so you actualy have to explore as the ship pathing will only take you past mabye 40-50% of the resources and none of the wormholes.
The AI works fine and from my testing, will expand and build base in other locations. I have only tried it on medium and its tough but takes a while to explore.
There is no Direct access to other players at the start, the odds are you will run into alot of scouting parties and resource outposts to begin with, eventualy exploring will reveal more.
there are alot of choke points, and some paths are very narrow (not enought to stop Cubes getting thought).
The gameplay was designed for all races, the borg a very good on this map as there is a delay in finding other plays and a good amout of moon pairs and indervidual moons.
Again like my last map theres alot of content, a detroyed planet, a very dence and hard to navigate area.
I have put in some areas that open up to larger expanses to intimdate players and alow for larger fleet movement.
I put alot of effort into this, anyone who finds an issue aside from the map itself plz tell me.
It is again win RAR to 286kb as the map is about 5Mb

its a very impressive map, was a lil laggy at first but smoothed out...
its a little unfair though, some players get to start with two moonsets right next to them portected by their initial base whilst others start with oen and ahve to adventure out to find the odd dil or tril moon giving the people with two moonsets a major advantage...

all players actualy have this, some are just more hidden than otheres, there is also areas with no resources available and others with alot and good places to defend them.
Iv played from each position and knowing where the resources are made it easier for me, but the point is you have to go exploring, i think your talking about the top left in this instance, there actualy is a second moon pair below it but hidden...
Go explore more, youl find hidden resources where you didnt expect them
the other reason is due to the different way the races use resources, for example... top left would be alot better for the Klingons than the feds or borg, but the bottom middle its better for borg but not klingon or feds, but feds do well top right.... its to provide a challenge even for the better players.
