Placing ships on revised map and getting them to be on my te

Hi All,

New to this game and need assistance please.  I revised one of the maps and made it my own.  I've placed a few ships ready to be taken over when I play instant action, but as soon as I try to board a ship, my starbase starts to destroy it...please help.

What I've read here is that you should change the ship info 1.  Team 0  2.  Crew 0.  Not working for me...

I'd appreciate any other hints or tidbits!

Team 0 = Neutral and cannot be taken. Team 1-8 = Ingame and can be taken, as long as their team number is higher than the number of players you can have on the map (for example: Team 6-8 on a 5 player map).
