So I've made maps in A1 and A2 just fine.  I couldn't get the minimap to work right....or use fixed locations....but at least it worked.  First, I'm not knocking FO.....Its THE FIRST RTS I've enjoyed since Warcraft 1 and 2.  That's right...all you Starcraft fans can suck it.  :-p jp

When I make a fresh, brand new map, put in 2 or more starting points....The game will bunch them up in the middle....I can't used fixed locations, so you pretty much have starbases wailing on eachother till whichever 1 blows up everyone else 1st wins....YEAHHH...no fun. lol.  Now keep in mind...I'm well versed in how to make the maps from both A1 and A2 map making tutorials.....AND I'm browsing the forums to look for fixes first.  So far, no one's suggestions have helped from other like problems.

Now here's the big problem I'm having....someone had a great idea.....edit an existing map, delete/add what you like, and move the starting positions around.  Excellent idea....why didn't I think of that!?!?  So I do this, save it, make it its open map/filename, etc.  Edit everything properly.  The map I edited was Cold Space....if it matters/anyone cares.  I took out 2 starting points...first in just the map....so I go to load it...its still showing 6 starting points when I go to the game....and I can't use fixed locations.  SO....I ctrl r....change the spots to empty.  The starting locations disappear....now it shows as a "0 player" map....and it just won't load.  On top of this....the center location becomes a starting point....so now I have 5 starting points, even though the one in the middle isn't "Camera_x"....but just to be sure, I left it empty....still same results.

Can anyone help?!  Thanks for reading my long and sarcastic question btw....

Don't know if this helps but i think they are supposed to be Camera_1
                                                                                    Camera_2
                                                                                    Camera_3
                                                                                    ect
other than that have you tried making sure there is only one camera point there not 2?
