No Luck With Fifth Starting Point

Do you have a question on map editing, how use the map manager or want to make your new map public? Post here.

I've been trying to make a five-player map, but i'm unable to get my game to recognise the Fifth-Player slot...

I've placed five points, and named them as i've read they should be named (Camera_1, Camera_2, Camera_3, Camera_4, Camera_5) but the map still considers itself to be a four-player map.

As an experiment, i tried deleting point Four and point Five, then switching their positions and recreating them. But when i tested in Instant Action, with "fixed starting points" selected, the only difference was that the new 4th-player position (the old location of player 5) now was an option as a start-point, while the new 5th-player position (the old 4th-player location, which had been accessable before) simply didn't exist.

So, i guess my conclusion is that for some reason the map believes it can only support four players, no matter the number of starting-points... Anyone run into something similar before? Any tips?

Did you also set the first 5 positions to "player" and then the final 3 positions to "empty"?

It's also worth noting that every time you fiddle with the starting locations on the map, you need to reopen the config menu (Ctrl+R) and the hit "OK" otherwise when you save and and then load, it won't register the changes.

Ah Phoenix, fantastic.

I think it was the first step you mentioned that was my handicap, but i followed both suggestions and whichever one i was ignoring is now rectified. All's working now - Thanks a million :)
