Hi guys!

The models under non Player races don´t work in the map editor. I can place them but they don´t appear in the game.

you have to asign them to a team witch is set to ai-mission

Doesn't putting them on Team 0 work? It does in the stock game, though they do nothing and cannot be taken.

I'm confuised, you have to have the Fleet Operations Pre Release 3 installed? When I went to install the new release, it made me delete everything from there, not being able to install over it, or even uninstall it.

nope the editor mode is included in the final 3.0 release, you don't need the v3pr

Ok now i have a new problem. I edited Cold Space and made a good map for me to play. Spent several hours on that editing. But i installed the latest patch 3.0.5a over 3.0.5.... and now my map is simply gone. Everything is reseted and my work was completly useless.  :(

I tried then to make a complete new map but if i load the map it crashes.
I named everything right (camera_1,camera_2...) and I have only ONE point( not sth like point 1 of 4).
Ctrl + R before saving doesn´t solve it.

One last question if make this map can I be sure that the map is playable even if i would install new patches in the future?

Thanks for any help.

PS: Setting npc´s on team 7 on a 6 player map worked thx for the tip.

Well, what you have to do is edit an existing map with the amount of start points that you want. Then move the points where you wnat them, after deleting everything on the map. If there are still red areas from blocking, then go to the Unity 1, and put it on top of the blocking, and delete it! The footprint should be removed, and just reapeat until all footprints are gone (by the way, footprints are the red area that you see.). Hopefully, this helps :) .

NOTE: You cannot change the name of the map.

And you can, I think. Just delete all ships, including the Ferengi on the edges of the map, while still using the previous patch. Then save, and store the map somewhere else, and install the next patch.

If the next patch is out we´ll see if your method works....
