Map background

Hello people, i have one quest.

How can i apply a new background to the Fleet operations Maps???

When in the editor you hit Control+R and then choose the second tab :).

Or did you mean create an entirely new background (aka one of your own design)?

But, where's the background folder??? I didn't find the folder.

To add in a custom skybox background be sure your SOD name has "env_" before it and just put it in the SOD folder. Hopefully that works.  :thumbsup:

Ah, ok, I am not actually sure how to create one - as I don't know if you can do it the same way as you used to be able to in Stock Armada II  :sweatdrop: . The Undying Nephalim has created his own for Sigma (if I remember correctly), so I hope he responds again in this thread :D. If it so happens that the same method can be used from stock as in AII, this tutorial might help :) A2tuts.de.vu - Armada 2 Tutorials

Hopefully we can get one pieced together for the guide after this   :blush:

EDIT: TUN tells me that you can make the map background SOD any 3D shape (cube, sphere etc) - cube can be selected in MS3D, so just apply your textures, and then put it in the SOD folder :)

Love map background, i want a background of Milky Way as seen from Earth and more backgrounds to give a variety to Fleet Ops maps.

I got a Milky Way image and i edited a little.

A bad edition made by me, hehe. :)
