Who made Malta II? Because all maps should have the lighting scheme it has, play it once and look at the graphical improvement due to the light and shadows, so perfectly done it's my favorite map because the games graphics look so good there. Any chacne of making all othe rmapys copy the lighting scheme?

Boggz may be a tit, but he's also the map master.

Awww....
.... Thanks, man!
I had a crappy day at work and coming back to find this really made me smile
.
The lighting scheme I used is a little more blue than normal. I added a strong blue from one angle, a light green from another, and ... well I think there's another as well but I don't recall.
Glad you like it! I have to keep my graphics detail at about 1/2 now to make online play go smooth so it doesn't look as sexy as it used to

I keep telling you to get a PC. You can get one that runs FO for 300 dollars or less (ish). Check out new egg or those new online bid places where you can get things for crazy low deals.

Yeah I meant to ask you for advice on a few things. I'm hoping to build my own desktop for less than 500 or so.
Basically my Laptop is overloaded with pictures and carrion of a million old games
. I want to clean it up and use it for work with a better desktop for games like F OOOOOOOO

"Why remove a river of detail so that the water runs smooth when with its original detail it is nothing less than a grace of nature?"
I find that quality work is more important than speed track work.

Well you don't play online
. Trust me. Beauty can sit in the backseat while Boggz drives a smooth game
. Can't let Dom get away with out-microing me while I'm gazing at the pretty graphics I put in my own map, now can I?

Oh? Why would the mighty boggy be sniffing the nebula flower with Dom about to stab a large Fleet into Boggy's heart (in this case, the main base).
Seriously, I thought that you'd be more attentive to the computer's cry "Boggz, stop looking at that and pay attention to your expensive fleet that Dom is pwning!"

Any chance you can make a Borg space map with a green and brown backdrop, green planets with your awesome lighting but this time in greenish?

Hahah I can certainly try
.
I'm sure though that there will be more fun doodads and eye-candy in the future that might make a better Borg-space map. I asked a long time ago in a thread about whether we'd get some new toys for the Map-Editor and Optec said that yes, there were plans for it in the future
.
Thus, I'm excited! I'll see what I can do about some "Borg" lighting for now though.

Sweet, somone told me they're going to add garrisonable neutral structures/stations to add a little bit of life and more strategical bottle necks later. Would be cool if they made some space-borg lifeforms and other races besides the Ferengi wandering around too : ) Would be sweet if they added some pure cinematic scripts like an untargatable completely passive cube dragging a ship across the map every 3 mins purel for effect x.x Ok i'll stop imagining now TY and GL with the map
