Check my maps (FO Map Exchange), opinions welcome.
FleetOps Map Exchange/Jarod's maps

Tadeja v3 (8-player map for Fleet Operations (FleetOps 3 pre))
Size: 40.000x40.000

For FObeta2 check these maps: Bystander, Betrayal v1, Tadeja, Centerfold, Challenger... Some of them get up to 50.000x50.000

Any questions? ;)

ah well, no sense crying about it, i need to polish my starship (ekm: car)...
Could one fit a few disruptors on ones car? :shuriken:

Ah, nevermind, my sovereign needs attention :D

i don't mind whether its open spaced or not, u made great use of nebulas and asteroid fields in ur tedeja map. how about a massive map with random mining resources littered about the map, not a lot maybe about 5 of each resource and the players have to fight for em. don't have any resources behind the bases like every map has for the players to begin mining straight away. if we cant gather resources at the start of the match we'll have to be careful how we spend our starting resources. am i making much sense here? :sweatdrop:

I have a map kinda like that in the Map Exchange called "Celestial Soup". It does now have the recourses back behind the base starts. I tried it for a while with a lot less resources and it ended up being too hard to hold on to the resources against the AI....

It may have to do with these factors:

1) Map editing engine

2)amount of RAM

3)Disk space

4) Version of FO
or
5) Graphics accelerator/card.
I've got one that's 2 player, 50000*50000 "The Duel of the blind men." Full Mutara with small reprieves for gathering resources to build scouts. Takes VERY long to find your enemy, though. apart from being a little bit laggish here and there, it worked perfectly, and I won.
