While editing one of my maps, i got an idea.  I wanted to know if it is possible to add units to the map which will be on a team, like when you start the game, there will be an extra ship for each team that they can control, and not have to take over.  Is this possible?  So far, the ships just dissapear once the map starts.

As far as I know that hasn't ever been possible  . You could do it with the MMM though :)

Really?  Drat, well I guess that feature will have to wait for territories. :D

Well, you can always set them as derelicts, or use MMM ( ;) )

yeah i noticed this too, any unit will just not appear.

if u want to give a starting location an advantage then leave a derelict next to their starting point to transport from sb

well... my idea was to have an invisible, unselectable station on a map which would be used as a reaserch pod that was automatically given to each player on certain maps.  In my case, it would allow a the use of long range FTL, but since I couldn't get it to work, It will just have to be a captureable station. :whistling:

@ Dom

I have tried MMM, but could never get it to work in FO,(or at all for that matter)  The concept was great, but I never figured out how it was used.

You may want to talk to TUN then or go to Megadroid's forums, as he (TUN) is learning how to use it as well for Sigma :) It definitely works for FO though - redmanmark showed me a trial run of it some months back  ^-^
