I've looked around and I can't find anything on how to connect 2 wormholes together. How do you make wormholes function? I've looked at other maps that have them and can't find any clues as to how to do it. The map I'm making ony has 1 pair, so nothing complex. Also, is there a way to make one wormhole go to multiple random places?

the first wormhole you place is connected to the second one. the third connected to the fourth and so on.
and no you can't make them go random places that would be cool but you can't

When you place two wormholes on a map they should automatically conect. I believe you can check this by double clicking on them. One will say 1 one shil say 2.
Darn, I just can't type fast enough. BTW you mean you can't

Thanks for the speedy replies!
For some reason the first wormhole pair wouldn't function, which is why I posted. But I had them inside the green nebula, so maybe that screwed them up. I deleted that pair and made two new ones and they work fine.
Yeah, the random wormhole idea was so I could make a map called Barzan, where the central wormhole would send you out to different, random locations, but the secondary wormholes would always go to the central point. But oh well. Thanks for the help!

I actually almost got that feature working in stock by messing with the odfs, and ...well, every time you went through it, your ship was destroyed, but that works too.
If you place several wormholes say 1,2 3,4 5,6. you can overlap the 1, 3, and 5, and place the others somewhere else. It will give you somewhat of a random feature.

Most likely, you placed a wormhole accidentally, deleted it, and thus was left with a pair of unconnected wormholes. BTW i had an idea for a map where you are on one side, an enemy on the other, an asteroid beltseparating them ,and a field of wormholes on the each side. The idea is that all of the wormholes except one pair is unconnected (or just leads to another one on the same side), and that one pair allows travel to the other side. You would then have to hunt down the right wormhole, and waste some ships doing so. Whaddya think?

Nice! I've had the same idea, except for they all connected to their opposite side. But it would be fun to play "find the right wormhole". Another thought would be that they do connect to enclosed areas on the sides of the map that are stacked with turrets, so that they waste any ship coming through. It would be a fun map to play against new players or people who don't remember which was the correct one.

there was a map kindof like that for stock but it had radioactive nebula and only one wormhole in this mess of wormhols would lead you safely to the enemy base

Ah, the good 'ol radioactive nebula. How I don't miss that! I think either snaps or RCIX made one that had a few wormholes that opened up into a tetryon nebula combined with a mutara nebula, which killed your shields, your hull, and then your ship in a matter of seconds.
Edit: Upon further examination, I have come to realize that it was Jarod's Sector D3 map that does this. I lost my Prometheus this way you [censored]. >:(
