[Assault Map] - Borg Space (In Progress)

Due to the new compatability for other map types besides standard, I'm going to recreate my Borg Space map.  This time, as an assault map.  This will be a 7-player map.

Story Line:
A stable wormhole has been located going from the Alpha Quadrant to the Delta Quadrant.  An agreement has been made with the Alpha Quadrant powers that the sectors around the wormhole will remain neutral space.  After exploring the other side, the Federation, Romulans, and Klingons have found themselves inside Borg space.  But reinforcements are too far away and the Borg have already begun their assault on the outposts that have been set up.

Team 1:
Federation, Mayson
Federation, Risner
Klingon, Martok
Romulan, Helev

Team 2:
Borg, Optimize
Borg, Assimilate
Borg, Optimize

Objectives:
Team 1 must last 90 minutes until reinforcements arrive.  You already have quite a few ships and resources, but not enough to clear the sector of Borg.  Use the environment and your team's cloak ability to your advantage.  Team 1 wins by lasting 90 minutes.  Remember, the Borg have the initial advantage but you should be able to turn that advantage quickly.  Both teams are already at the top of the techtree.

top of the tech tree borg will just spam tac cubes and dimonds and with nanites every battle will end the same borg win so to be fair im not sure its gonna work the way u want it to unless u limit the amount of moons the borg have but then they could just pump all 3 players res into one player at a time to get the cubes (ie borg 1 gets connections and builds cube with res from other brogs then they send all res to next borg with connections etc etc etc) and since supplies will be easy to get plus 2 borgs using the recycler aswell thats alot of cubes to be able to build

not being an ass or anything but thats how i see that sort of game developing in a short amount of time  and if u say no cubes well borg auto loose due to the ship production of the other team

You just have to hold the Borg off for 90 minutes.  I'll find a way to balance it.

I'm currently building the Borg "Uni-Complex" for the map.  They will be for players 5, 6, and 7.

Avatars:
Player 5:
- Optimize
Player 6:
- Optimize
Player 7:
- Assimilate

To help team 1 survive, the Borg team will only have 1 resource pair per player, while the defending team will have 2 resource pairs per player.  The Borg will start out with just enough resources to build 4 mining freighters, 2 resource nodes, and 1 construction ship.  Do not misplace your resource nodes.

The defenders will have enough to build their mining freighters and construction ships as well, their mining stations will already be built.

I look forward to seeing this. Right now I have a rather large map (50x50k) I am working on (4-player) with ai-hard borg in the middle. The Borg has stations already built and resource collectors ready to go while the 4 other spots start as normal players from the ground up but with plenty of moons to get going quickly and a few derelicts to use early to prevent a rush. I also have similar maps where the ai-borg is setup exactly the same way and yet do "nothing" (I.E. don't build ships and fight etc,.. just sit and wait to be killed off). In a 4 player I use team 5 for the borg and set it as ai-hard,.. Not sure if this makes any sense but do you know what I'm doing wrong?

Setting the Borg team to AI mission should do it.

Actually, you must make sure that the Borg is set to the Assimilate avatar.

Give it the ships/stations from the Map editor menu titled Assimilate is a good way to try.

You use the edit menu to put stations on the map that are of the Assimilate avatar.
