Well, I've released the updated version of the map that has the extra resources.  Link is on the first post.  Enjoy!

why dont you just delete all moons and play with unlimited resources?

Because it would destroy the balance of the game.  Get a Borg player and he/she instantly wins.

After further testing, it seems that even if you don't secure the center, you should at least try to get something in the center top (like a starbase) so it's not technically "secured."  Because if you don't at least put something there, you will loose.

Well we've played a large game yesterday 3vs3 humans. While I think from the layout that this map is ok it isn't really fun to play at all.

Such maps were ideal for Armada1 but with Fleet Ops they aren't that spectacular mostly due to the balance. Those who control the middle already won the match.

Recommendations:

Maybe you should consider giving each player even a third Moon pair. I was Klingon yesterday received like 10.000 of ressources D - T - S from both allies and still hadn't all stations and upgrades fully researched - my fleet was small. Due to the different prices for ships and stations with the factions it's really hard to keep it balanced at all. Such a thing wasn't the case in A1. A1 had less ships and superweapons to counter massive fortifications. That however isn't the case anymore in FO.

Maybe you really should add some non player turrets and stations in the middle so that people will first have to free it before they can setup there their own turret spam there.

I guess turrets would be a good distraction so that there's more of a fight to secure the center.  Even if the center wormhole isn't secured by one team, if they can get mining at the very top and some shipyards, they should have a shot at taking out the players that have secured it.  But I'm definitely not going to put a third moon pair in.  It would devalue the center way too much.  The turrets I may put in to make it harder to take the center.

EDIT:  Done, I've added the turrets to the map.  They will guard some of the wormholes and the center resources.  Click here for details.

Another update.

I've removed the turrets guarding the wormholes and the center resources.  I've also removed the blocking triggers that were preventing wormhole usage.  It is now possible to avoid the center of the map altogether to get to enemy space.

The only TCR project being worked on that's not relevant to rFactor or enhancing my website is the Tereanan Empire mod.  Click Here to go to the Tereanan Empire mod forums.

As for any other mods I was working on for Fleet Operations or stock Armada II, they have been cancelled.
