The Typhon Expanse and Tometa Border Skirmish by the Undying Nephalim for Fleet Ops V3
Typhon Expanse (3 v 3) - A region of space with unusual temporal distortions. The Typhon sector is well known for being a primary site used by the Federation to group their fleets together. I designed this map with 3 v 3 in mind and was sure to include many passable asteroid fields. I love the feeling of ships traveling through asteroid debris and I feel battles in such locations feel more epic then in open space. If you have my Breen NPC AI installed, fleets of Breen ships will periodically spawn on the map. If not, you won't see them at all.
The Typhon Expanse (3 v 3)
Tometa Border Skirmish (2 v 2 v 2) - A cluster of asteroids directly on the border of Federation and Ferengi space. Famous for the formation of temporary and unstable wormholes. This map is designed for three teams of two players each. One team start in the upper right corner back to back for maximum defense. Another team starts out in a tightly packed asteroid field, and area I think will be good for the Noxter once they are re-inserted into Fleet Ops. The final team is split by a wormhole, one player is secured in a remote area and can only be accessed by the wormhole while the other player defends it. At the center of the map is a small Ferengi resistance, but we all know they are not warriors... right?
