After getting feedback from lots of people who played the first version of
This is No Cave! I decided to open things up a bit more and expand the battle area. of course ... by doing this I had to add a few extra moons here and there in order to create more need for battle!
So without further ago, here we go!
THIS IS NO CAVE! [tt]Version 2![/tt]
CHANGES:- Moons are re-arranged to encourage clashes over resources and easy raiding.
- Terrain of map adjusted to be more "island-like" instead of corridor based.
- More Nebulae in small pockets sticking out of the Asteroids. Keep in mind that many are so small you can only fit a single ship inside.
Players: 4
Arrangement: 2 vs. 2 OR 1 vs. 1
Dimensions: 15000 x 15000 (Medium)
Moons: 2 exp for each side. They will be fought over.
Nebulae: Small pockets here and there. Green and Purple only with a smattering of dangerous nebs.
Wormholes: None.
HISTORY and PURPOSE: No history. No purpose. I wanted to make an "inside" map kind of like
Borderlands that made you feel like you were fighting in a cave! The lighting is set to reflect that as well. There are also a few tiny spots where very small ships (include constructors) can slip through the larger Asteroid clusters ... so keep your eyes open. There are also small patches of nebulae here and there, some of which are accessible and other that are just for eyecandy

This is a SKIRMISH map. This is small, the corridors are tight, and the action should happen very quickly. There are multiple ways into your opponent's bases (as always) so don't think you can turtle yourself up and get away with it.
