Hi everybody!

Now I did a map myself too!  :D
It's a rather experimantal map, with focus of holding critical locations and exploring. You've got two areas, a dense nebula, where I myself loose track sometimes, containing most dilithium moons, and a free space, containing most tritanium moons, and some nice (stupid) inhabitants. The 7 starting positions, all within the nebula, are quite balanced to my own surprise. There are loads of places to hide from the enemy.

The most noteable thing about this map: I had to block the path through all damaging nebulas using blocking triggers, otherwise the AI doesn't realise it's a maze. The avoidance radius of a nebula is much too big for the pathfinding to recognize the alleys between them. I hope this behaviour will better with the next releases. Passing the field without getting harmed is not very likely, because I didn't manage to find all spaces, where a nebula passes a blocked area. On the other hand the nebulas damage rate is too low to cause serious trouble. The map was always stable when I played, but requires quite much resources.

I'd welcome any comments on that map, and will try to implement changes as soon as I did my exam in thermodynamics *gg*.

Send it to DOCa Cola so maybe he can upload it into a new folder in the download section as "Fan Maps" or so. But I'm not sure if this is possible. What you could do, of course, is to send it by email to info[*at]st-galaxy.de so we can create a download section for Fan Maps aswell. Should be no problem. Everyone else is also welcome to send it to this address.

As savegame was changed and the map uploading works again I started recreating my map for 3.0.5.

As I did some test runs with the (still incomplete map), the game didn't runfluently. The map highly stresses my (quite capable) machine, because it is a nebula maze, but it never juddered (is this the right word?) with the old 3.0.0 map. The remake certainly has not that much nebulas and blocking triggers, so why should this one run not as fluently as the old one?

Any ideas?
