Hi people on behalf of Stargazer who doesn't have an account here I will post about his maps here. First lemme say that the maps he released seem very balanced so far and most importantly they are great to look at...

Ok lets get started shall we?

Mano-a-Mano 1v1:

Ok this is a 1v1 maps almost in duelII quality. Like in Duel 2 players will have the possibilitity to expand to 2 expansions and as you can see both players can also get 1 additional Dilithium moon each.

A very decent map.

Spiral v0_2 1v1:

While the names gives the impression that this is still a very early version of the map it isn't. Actually it is already near final if you ask me. While the mapsize itself is very large for a 1v1 map  with 14000 x 14000 it is ok due to the fact that the bases lay closer to each other and not at the very end in the corners. A very interesting map and as you can see below in the picture there are also several paths you can send your forces through.

Entropy 0.1 4v4:

Wow this is a really great map as well not just by the design but also by the gameplay itself. As you can see all players have 1 regular expansion at their disposal. And they can also advance towards the middle. The team that gets to the middle will have a huge advantage due to the fact that it is an important strategic position with extra expansions and because it's pretty much a point from where you can attack in all directions easily. The size of the map is 24000x24000 which makes it actually a little smaller than the map "Just a little frontier run" for example.

Circling Vultures v0_1 3v3:

This is certainly a map which will get cult status really fast.. A very awesome and balanced map with many strategic possibilities.

Banana_split 07. 3v3:

Another great map by Stargazer.

Endword: Ok guys don't be afraid of the version numbers they indicate that on the maps is still being worked on and if he releases a new version of one of his maps I will post it here. But frankly no of his maps really deserves a version 0.x at all. Most of his maps already seem to be in a near perfect final state. And each single map definitely could be a stockmap for Fleetops. Balance is very important for Stargazer so it's not surprising to see that all expansions are at the same distances for all players.

Here's the dl link: Download Stargazzers Maps.rar from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way

The maps are in subfolders so make sure to extract them without the subfolders into your bzn folder in Fleetops.

For my taste the base mining exps in Entropy are too close to each other... gives an advantage to Borg and Fed because those can turtle quite nice there.

I really don't get it, please enlighten me.

And back to topic:
his (team) maps are just nice. They can be played very fast paced, or even defensive. The nebulas are well placed and don't grant any major advantage, but they're always good for some sneaky outmaneuvering.
Well, you can easily see those maps are made with math and a good portion of "love". Thank you Stargazer (again *G*) for your lovely team maps.
