first real attempt at a 4 player. feedback welcome esp about the amount of resources there is on the map

sorry about to png file but for some reason as was quoted in my last post with myles my png's never seem to work or come up and no idea whats goin wrong lol

you can use screenshots to crop out a minimap.

load the map in map editor. alt+p takes a screenshot with ui visible. when you exit the game it should offer you the option of opening the folder where the screenies are stored.

crop out the minimap on that image. if you put the white trapezium in some empty blue space you can then use paint to copy blue over the trapezium and pretend it wasnt there.

A couple notes from reviewing the map:

-Generally it's not good to have asteroids without blocking triggers, people expect them to be impassable.

-In the same way, nebulas with blocking triggers are weird.  Since you put them together so densely, I don't think it'll be a problem but it could cause lag for older video cards.

-I don't think all the gaps in the purple nebulas are passable, some of the vertical ones may be too close.  Also even if they are, it's not a good idea since borg ships have a huge advantage around purple nebulas.

-The general structure lets people turtle the entrance to their base, there needs to be more ways to get to each other or it's unbalanced in favor of the turret-building races.
