Perhaps i'm the only one who misses the great late-game battles of the previous versions and it seems the game has come to one rush attack victory after another. There's nothing wrong with it, don't get me wrong, but still...would be nice to play a long game every once a while, so i created this map.
It  has 2 excess points, a wormhole and a narrow passage near the center.
basically a 3vs3 map, sure to provide a challange ;)

Doesn't look bad. It will be easy for any player to keep maaaaany yards running without pausing construction. If the defense is fine, of course.

After watching the 3v3 game on this map, I've got a few suggestions.  Could it be possible to open up the sides where the dilithium moon by the blue nebs are?  just get rid of part of that on both sides?  That would create 4 areas of attack, and the poor guy by the wormhole won't get the shaft all the time.  That will hopefully stop the camping of the wormhole, because then no base is technically safe.

Also, maybe take a moon pair from each base and put it up near the center circle?  That way there's an expansion to worry about, as well.  And with the sides open, people might be more inclined to get resources from the very center, as right now it seems too easy to go through the wormhole, blast everything in sight, and zip back.

I really think the map is beautiful, though.  You really did a nice job.  And I hope the next patch will let us use some battlehips again. :(

Though I think the point of the map was to focus the battle on one point, I agree that having a more open version would be cool aswell.

other than that, I love this map.  sofar this is my favorite non stock FO map.

I'm looking forward on playing this map. Can you pass through the asterioids where these blue nebulas are?

Questions...

ok  comments first,  Nice map

tech queries:  is it soppost to be 8 or 6?

if it is soppost to be an 8 player map, shouldn't the start point for the 7th and 8th player be by the 3 and 9 oclock positions near the moon pairs?

Should you / CAN you even play from the middle?

would this be better as a 6 player map?  with the two middle start positions elimianted?

it is an 8 player map with 2 starting spots in the middle. I think it works out good through.
