ok well what about Voyager didnt have all the fancy stuff and before they met 7 of 9, the idea of the borg is that they constantly persue perfection, they would have assimilated voyager as soon as they saw it.

Lumpy's right. They did have all that fancy technology from the borg to fight the borg.
