See, Future Doca travelled back in time to release 3.7.0, but then Past-Future Optec was able to stop him before he did. I think the idea was that releases would be quicker if Doca simply built a time machine. Then they could take as long as they wanted on a patch and send it back to our time when it was done. Future Optec, understanding the dangers and paradoxes involved with time travelling release dates, went into the past to stop him, but was killed by Future-Past Doca, who went back into the future to complete the time loop. Before he died, he told Present Optec to travel to the future, but was accidentally sent to the past, but then went to the future, so that he could become Past-Past-Future Optec and fulfil his destiny of being both his own grandfather, and his own grand son. Detektor is still chained to a desk in the present as well as the future, so that he can continue beta testing the next patch.
So it's either the devs need to stop mucking around with the [censored] time-space continuum >:(, or make fewer typos.

Well, when our reality starts swirling out of existence like an uncorked bathtub because of impatient fans and crazy, time-travelling Germans who cut the fabric of space like they're David Bowie's tailor, don't come crying to me! >:(
