Here are the precise lengths of the Borg vessels in Fleet Ops (to the meter). These numbers were obtained by using the STA2 SOD Importer for 3DS Max and using the measure tool.

Vessel
Length of Bounding Box
Detector
326 meters
Assembler
712 meters
946 meters (while constructing)
Resource Assimilator
859 meters
Probe
522 meters
Scout Cube
495 meters
595 meters (Peripheral Module)
Dodecahedron
612 meters
Adaptor
560 meters
Assimilator
908 meters
Sphere
853 meters
Pyramid
841 meters
Diamond
783 meters
Cube
1074 meters
1091 meters (tactical cube)

Somehow I remember the sphere being something along the lines of 1,600 meters (800-meter escape pod sphere) and the Cube somewhere along the lines of 3,000 meters in Star Trek. I wonder if there's something that I missed in the episodes or if the vessels were scaled down a little for the game. Or both. Diamond seems to be just about right. The Adaptor seems to be just a scaled-up version of the stock A2 Assimilator but with updated textures.

Well, the engine doesn't do pathing for very large vessels very well, so that puts a practical limit on their size. Other than that, I had always assumed that the TV Borg would add on to their ships over time, so they would basically grow with age rather than having set classes with set sizes.

yep, in middle game when borg has 6+ large ships (assim, sfere, diamond.....) often happends that one ship from fleet is out of range and not fighting for 10sec or even more....

that can decide battles.

tell the trueth i hate when it happends...
