very pleased-warp in feature rocks
Which race do you like most? What do you like - what you don't like? Discuss it here.

I just wanted to post my compliments to the designers of this creation/add-on. I had all sorts of trouble in the beginning (of my own doing) but now that all is functioning as it should be I am having big fun with this thing. I just discovered how to utilize the "warp-in" feature and that is just grand. Kudos to all you people who did this. It's like playing "Armada 3." I only just was able to defeat the cowardly Romulans (lol) by fully utilizing the warp-in feature on "normal" difficulty... Guess I'm not that great a player yet. But, I enjoyed the hell out of the exploding Romulan structures..
Good job boys, keep it up!

And yeah, the explosions are pretty sweet, along with everything else FO!

oh yeah, and before I forget, build one mining facility per moon and have 3 miners at each.

Megaman3321 wrote:You want real use for the Warp-in? Tech up to SFC, and send scouts to locate unguarded builders leaving the base. Then, set the nearest scout to green alert, and shadow it outside tof the constuctor's sensor range until it reaches its destination, and Warp-in a Descent to that area. Then, knock out the builder's shields, and take it! Set the Descent to guard the recently captured constructer, use the Shield Reset to replenish the builder's shields, and send them home. Believe me when I say that if you're really good at teching-up quickly, the enemy will still be limited to small groups of destroyers, and your Descent shouldn't have any trouble with those! Hopefully this works.

The only problem it IMO with your strategy is how long it would take you to capture that builder. you should send a few destroyers along with your descent to capture the builder.

or wait for it to start building something and then capture it to waste your opponents recorces

Interesting strategy, Mega. I will look into it. I won't divulge my usual strategy in case we ever play head to head...
I wonder how the AI has been changed in this build? Which race is the craftiest and/or most difficult to contend with given the same difficulty level? The Borg wiped me out rather quickly and rudely but that was before I discovered the warp-in feature. I will gun for them next.
This is the most fun I've had with a space-based strategy game since I quit EvE Online. I played that thing for almost 3 years b4 quitting. Never could find a suitable corporation to join besides mine.

Ooooohhhh......now I've beaten the Borg AND Dominion in the same game...they, of course, ganged upon me but I still was able to vanquish them thanx 2 the warp-in feature...."Perhaps today IS a good day to die!"...."Sir, it's the ENTERPRISE!"
