I agree. And I think that FO doesn't use the full potential of the fighter system. But I'm sure Z knows what I'm talking about

The fighter system was designed pretty much expressly for modders, as Star Trek doesn't have much fighter action

yep, feel free to share your ideas in the modding section. I'm sure there are a lot of people around who will use the fighters in their mods, especially for other universes, like Star Wars or Babylon 5.

And obviously you can't add the Typhon without the Valkyrie.

Of course, but I'd be surprised if it didn't carry a couple other fighter types.

um...no its not. Well ok in game no but in canon Trek very much so(most ships are off ingame from canon in relation to each other).

@Tyler I know the two that you're talking about.

Its almost the size of a defiant in canon. And its really quite large when compared to the ship that its launched from.

Are you talking about the Federation fighter or the Marquis raider? Because the raider is the only large one I remember, much bigger than the fighter.

Yeah the two versions of the Fed/Marquis raider are much larger than the Peregrine which is only 15-25 meters depending on your source.

the peregrine fighter:


its about a runabout in size, wider cos its flatter.

the maquis raider that chakotay used:

was bigger, big enough to hold chakotay's crew of around 50

confusingly the same model as the raider was used to represent a smaller ship in tng, about the size of a fighter. thats where a common misconception of their size comes from.

the top is the original model with a texture upgrade my me, the middle is amatures and is probably the most accurate, a the last is majestics with his spin on the model.  I think his is my favorite because he has visible nacelles ontop vs the others which are underneath but they all have their pros.
