Trek Physic ?

Which race do you like most? What do you like - what you don't like? Discuss it here.

Hello,
You are talking about the director's cut (maneuvers)
It may look nicer etc. But the problem is that you have less control over the actions of your fleets.
For example, a lot of klingon ships are forward firing only. So with the option enabled, they will fire a lot less because of their 'maneuvers'.
The devs beliefs are that this is an undesired feature in an rts game. It should be predictable and you should be in control of all actions etc.

This is the reason why it was removed from fleetops.

Ok danke für die schnelle antwort!!  :thumbsup:

In Armada II Director's Cut does not exist at all: it was replaced with the Circle and Cloverleaf Attack Patterns :). These are not used in Fleet Ops, but can be put back simply by copying the entries from a stock copy of Armada II.

In the future, better formations will be added (so that we don't have issues with flying into enemy territory etc, as Denarius described), but that's on long-term todo  :thumbsup:

That depends on what you desire. For instance, the simplest way is to copy the textures from an original installation of Armada II and paste them in Fleet Operations:

gbfarrow, gbfcircle, gbfclover

Then, in the file in Sprites, gui_global.spr, paste the following lines

@reference=64
@tmaterial=interface
b_fclover gbfclover 0 0 64 64
b_fcircle gbfcircle 0 0 64 64
b_farrow gbfarrow 0 0 64 64

Then you have to copy the correct ODF files, farrow.odf, fcircle.odf, and fclover.odf and put them in Fleet Operations' ODF folder.
