Recently registered after finding this diamond of a game somewhere at a local Pawn shop...

I was surprised I only had to pay 5$ for the game, the box, and the manual in mint condition- I guess I'm one of the lucky ones!

Anywho, after scouring filefront for mods for the game and many other websites, it seems no one carries this because of a EULA disagreement... which is silly. Game Companies break their own license agreements all the time- look at Bioshock!

ANYWHO! After playing this game and romping about as the Romulans, I truly have to give this game some praise. I'm absolutely stunned at the amount of detail you've put into this game. Its almost as if you reworked the engine itself. To me, it plays nothing like the stock game. Its looks almost like a 'RTS' mod for bridge commander! And the balance and... especially the 'realism' this team has put into this mod is simply stunning. The Romulans (My favorite x_x) actually are believable with this mod. They're a powerful, military might that relies not only on raw power (Warbirds anyone?) but the sabotage skills that come in handy at the right time!

For instance, I had a soveriegn rushed in the game at my base, my friend was razing through my defenses (my other little ships were having a hard time fighting it, with my fleet busy against his somewhere in the 'north' region of the map) and the soveriegn class was simply tearing things up... then I found the sabotage option, and brought its health down incredibly low! Allowing for my remaining defenses to tear it apart!

I'm just rambling now though... still stunned. I rarely say this about mods, but this is the best one I've played, for any game, next to Kobi's mod for Bridge Commander and Shockwave for CnC Generals. Good job guys!

And I hope the community keeps growing! I'm surprised to find it so active!

So, pretty much I like all of the mod, and I'd greatly like to see some new additions. Not necessarily new ships, but it wouldn't hurt either! Anywho, I kept finding bits and peices of posts that were referring to a wide-screen option... is this true? I'm running in 1680x1050, and its ridiculously stretched and wrinkled (hi-def makes it look weird), but when I window it, or use lower resolutions it looks fine. Is there any way I can get a program that works for FOv3 to change the resolution of the game to match widescreen?

Heyho and welcome to the forums :)
Glad that you enjoy playing Fleet Operations in multiplayer, thats the main goal of the mod and you will see more multiplayer stuff coming in v3.
Speaking of v3, the wide-screen option (along with a hand full of additional graphic settings) will also be available then.
