well i cant lately but that might have something to do with not playing for 3 months or so and only playing Dominion Mercys or Borg or Romulan.

Who's confusing anything?  Just said it looks like it evolved from that design structure.  Pod on Top, Nacelles on the Bottom, Saucer in the Middle.

Except that the Nacelle pylons, upside-down nacelles (not meaning under the saucer), Engineering hull, pod shape and pod pylons have little similarity to the Miranda at all...

  Would you say it's more similar in shape and structure to an Excelsior or a Miranda?  A Galaxy or a Miranda?  A Defiant, a Sovereign, an Akira, a Canaveral, an Intrepid, or a Miranda?

  I think if anything it's more like a Nebula than any one of those.
