The Last Steam Runner

so i just played a instant match game, i got feds. i called in one warpin pool group, 1 steam runner one nebula one excilisor, i put them in fleet 0 as a back up or auxiliory fleet.

about one and a half hours later a ws looking thre the adrimrals log

most effective class steam runner

that one ship got 42 kills

28 were ships

9 were sovrign classes

she was posted at a heavely defended mining platform
along wit ha small contingent of sabers and an intrepid
there were 25 qunatom platforms there to protect the mines, but no other ship was more distuniguished as that one lowly steam runner,

god speed steamrunner class,
i wish i saved the adrimrals log so i could find her name

Holy cow... thats amazing. Its really useful for attacking weapons platforms too!

What race did you play against? It has always been my opinon that the steamrunner is a fairly effective ship even though its not well like among people of this fourm.

I love the Steamrunner!

Give me some steamrunners and a few norways to recharge them and that's good enough for me!

Steamrunners really are not that bad. If they warp in I'm completely fine with them in my fleet. I'd just never go out of my way to build them.

i know, i like them, im jsut saying i with there was a mk 2 version, cus itd fit very nicely in my fleet

usally i get this kill numbers on my defndeing excelsior II (mostly veterans) but i usally loose to much in the ofeense to keep em as most effective ship

If there is ever a Fleet Operations II, maybe it will have a Steamrunner-II. Not this one though, it's to young a design.

The Steamrunner rocks, used effectivly they can be devistating.

yes, however i find it very hard to use effectivly, i find that the one thing the feds lack, is a defense booster support special, this could be very nice for helping to keep those steamrunners safe, because they have very low defense, lower then that of an intrepid, so there very easily destroyed
