Starfleet models

Are the models for the Galaxy, Nebula, Defiant, Excelsior family and Sovereign the final versions? They look kinda 'dull' compared to other FO ships, like the Canaveral, Descent and most non-Federation ships.

Textures in particular look different; hull markings look like they're painted on in watercolors and Warp/Impulse glows barely exist compared to how they look in the show (except the Excelsior-I on the last part).

My guess is they are final until otherwise decided . The graphics engine is currently undergoing some tweaking, and these vessels have some techniques that fit into that, so that might be what you are experiencing.

The textures are the main thing; lights are dull and the markings barely exist. I had to color over the Galaxy's pendant and twin line marks just to get them to be visible in normal light without having to look for them.

The models themselves are good, if flat. The bump mapping halps.

Personally i dont mind the "dullness" a lot of mods are super detailed but the ships lack uniformity.

On a related note, the Nebula has no Impulse Engines.
