"Star Trek" -Greatest 1 Hour rerun ever!!!

As a huge "Star Trek" fan who is also a fan of TV nostalgia,
I think it needs to be said that "Star Trek" was the most successful
"rerun" or syndicated 1 hour program of all time.
When you look at the shows that have been rerun successfully
it is mainly the sitcom that comes to mind. "I Love Lucy", "The Honeymooners", "Gilligan's Island", "MASH", "Cheers" and "Seinfeld" have and probably will continue to be rerun well into the latter half of this century. Half hour sitcoms lend themselves to the short attention span of the audience or at least the programmers sense that the audience has a short attention span.
One-hour shows have always been a particularly hard sell. Some of the shows that have been syndicated over the years include "Mission: Impossible", "Quincy", "Murder She Wrote" and of course, franchises like "Law & Order".
None of these shows were ever able to sustain the long-term ratings that "Star Trek" was able to maintain. It was, in my opinion, the Greatest one hour show of them all!!!
