Hahah it's coo.

I'm never one to rush a developer.  I'm sure I've said it before but I used to mod for A1 and ODF's alone can take a lifetime so I mean no rush :).

Just curious to see if they predict 2009 as 3.08 free  :D

now this is a philosophical dispute isn't it. what i mean is:
ask yourself why U like to play the klingons. isn't it because they give you more challenge then the other races and the victory tastes a bit better when U r playing the klingons. if U do then U r not really waiting for the patch, because it possible (probably) will alter the experience of playing them. in fact U don't want the patch to be released. isn't this why U started this thread? isn't this thread a sabotage attempt?

Lol ... I like the little "JK" at the end :D

Well ... yes, the reason I like Klingons now is because I love to micro ships with personality (short ranged destroyers certainly have it) and because they are the weakest at the moment in most cases.  I don't enjoy playing Borg or Mayson Feds (not saying Borg are overpowered) because it requires an opponent with great skill to be beaten.

I am just super excited to see the change in the Klingon playstyle.

It doesnt take a good player to defeat borg. It just takes intell. Click and boom! How FUN!  :D I feel so skilled now! This victory tastes really good!  :woot:

Lol stop yer bitchin :)

Only in a game that lasts that long and has so few units left on the map will the intel center actually manage that.  You're just bitter that Veronw avenged my hard-fought and gloriously honorable death!  :D

There are some other instances in which the Intel Center can be a little too mean (usually cases where it is well hidden, or where a Borg fleet consists of almost all higher level vessels - Cubes, Diamonds, Pyramids), but it is not so frequent as to be noticed by those who don't like Borg that much  :whistling: . Mal and I have hinted at the problem in the past, but it is rarely noticed, because few people play as Borg and fewer still use the Intel Center I think.

All the Borg needs is probably some way to instantly disarm the agent using Refresh Cycle for higher level vessels (I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say all vessels, as that would probably neuter the IC against the Borg effectively) to make it more balanced. Don't worry Funnystuff, we await Optec's reassessment, so I'm sure if he considers it warranting a fix, it'll be fixed ;). No need to complain about it further :) . Plus, it's not as if you can build the Intel Center soon enough to start taking out those early Spheres or Assims - so it isn't unbalanced unless you either turtle with Borg ( :x ) or get to late game choices.

Thats because I tested it in a game. I locked onto both his cubes and his 1st sphere with it. At the end of the game we were weakened from his 1st borg attack, but after he got a second cube we surely were dead. His cube was almost in range of my intell when it locked on and destroyed it. Apperently I am not the one with the BS degree after all.
