Zebh and i had some ideas about custom made GUIs for FleetOps that would increase usability, a drawback would be they're less useful for 4:3 resolutions, or way harder to implement.

Question is: how many people still use a 4:3 ratio display.

Please consider voting for widescreen if you're about to buy a widescreen display in the foreseen future.

Thanks in advance.

P.S.: just no further misunderstandings occur: widescreen support is obviously already available, this is only about a custom made modification to increase usability.
And, of course out of plain curiosity :P

I'm sill using 4-3 screen ratio. And I'm not planing on getting a larger monitor than my 19 inch at the moment and therefore not going wide screen.

I use 4:3 resolutions and don't plan on changing out my monitors for quite a while.

by 16:9 are you including all resolutions that are almost 16:9, like mine, which is 1366 x 768? i voted for 16:9.

Correct. It's not about resolution, just about ratio.

let me clarify, my resolution isn't exactly 16:9, but it's very close (within 0.05%).

1366/768 != 16/9 (they are the same if you restrict to 3 significant digits)

the actual aspect ratio for my resolution is exactly 683:384

that shouldn't break your gui work too bad, as 1366x768 is one of the most common resolutions on the web.
