New types of maps
Which race do you like most? What do you like - what you don't like? Discuss it here.

I see in the map selector, that we can get map types like "Collect Latinum", "Defend the Planet" and "Assualt" etc. I assume we can now use and make those maps. I think tritanium is technically latinum right? So some more modding might be required to make different resoures the target, like maybe supply.
And can we actually make capture the flag maps? Forgot we don't have tractor beams. But I would love for them to be reimplemented, partly for that purpose
Defend planet obviously would be nice.
Basically I want the freedom to be able to play all these gametypes, I think it would expand FO considerably (especially if the Ai could be made to play some of them).

Well tractors are planned for the constructors. And as for the CTF type if it was possible it would be a blast, the flag could have some NPCs as guardians and then it would just be a race to whoever could get it the fastest

CTF would be the most fun, but then we would probably need the Devs to add an extra techtree. I mean I can't imagine warp-in being very fair with capture the flag. 
But I guess we can make and play fully functional assualt maps now? Unfrtunately I don't know the rules for assualt.

It would also be very interesting to see maps on which you only get the possibility to build a repair yard that can build constructors with tractor beams (with no cost) and you will have to salvage ships that pop up on that map so you will have battles between salvaged vessels of all possible races, may they be pc or npc. I only would keep the Borg or at least their ships above the sphere out of it.

Edit: Thinking it over, it would be better to make a balanced choice of ships which pop up there.
The goal could be to destroy a fixed amount of enemy vessels (Destruction of the yards could disqualify a player.)

These are some I'd like to see.
Collect Supply: You'll each start with two special mining freighters (to get supply), a starbase (for the Dom, the config storage is disabled), and one constructor. Your job will be to collect as much supply as you can within 2 hours. Whoever has the most wins.
Capture the Flagship: Instead of a simple flag, it is a flag ship. Armed, shielded, and all purely visualizing the strengths and weaknesses of that race (but balanced). In order to win, one team will have to capture all opponent teams' flagships in order to win.
Base Assault: Each player will start off with standard units. There is a minimum of two teams (each of multiple players). For each team will be the "Alliance Complex" or the "Main base". This is chosen through a vote of all members of that team. There will be a cease fire until all teams have their Alliance Complex decided. During cease fire all ships that leave the boundary of their bases within a certain distance, those ships will be penaltied with instant destruction (so now ready 2 fire spams waiting to raid your base). Whichever team is the last remaining team with thier complex is victorious.
Scavenger: Each player starts out as a destroyer of that race (weapons disabled). The objective will be to capture a constructor of choice. Once captured a constructor then you'll have to build your base. Then once your base is complete, then it switches you to the corresponding race, lets you choose your avatar, and then it goes to normal flow. (To prevent being multiple races, once you capture your first constructor, any other captures will self destruct)
I think these would all be interesting modes.

the warp in ships woulden't have a tractor, so they coulden't capture the flag, they could only destroy whoever has it at the time, or the flag itself (what would happen then?!?)
