Why does the music come in a seperate download rather than with the game?

dunno but its wrks gr8,sounds brill maybe it mite conflict,or just easier to kp seperate

I don't think that this is the point but at A2Files we cannot host the copyright protected music tracks, videos, etc. so it's pretty handy to keep the multimedia pack seperately.

I would imagine it's to do with reducing the download size since music isn't really required to get the game to load up but does take up a significant amount of space.

i like the ability not to install the music, i dont actually like music in the game. the music itself is nice, i just dont want it ingame

I think Myles summed it up effectively 

Music isn't included because it's a luxury not a necessity to the game, if you don't want it, don't download it, if you do, then download it

well its actually seperated, because the media pack hasn't changed for quite some time, so why download it over and over again its better to keep it seperate
