Moving Your Base.

Which race do you like most? What do you like - what you don't like? Discuss it here.

This strat only works on 8-Player Maps with 2 to 3 people.

At game start, build a Construction Ship, and send it to another start location. While you send it, begin building up your main base, but DON'T RESEARCH ANYTHING!!!

Once the C Ship has reached the other start location, assuming that it isn't your enemies base, start building an Outpost. Then, begin mining at this base. Begin building the base.

Keep your main base intact, and keep a defence fleet at it. However, decomission your research station. No begin research atyour other base.

The enemy probably will have found your main base by now. Make it look like you have too few resources to build anything. The enemy will hopefully launch an attack force soon. Let them destroy the base you started with.

By now, the enemy is looking for stray ships. He will probably use Search and Destroy. Use new ships built at your second base to pick enemy ships off, One by one. Then, send in an attack wave and destroy his base.

I think a human could beat this strategy but the ai might fall 4 it.

I agree with cts006 that human player could beat this strategy, because human will see that something is wrong if something is taking it's ships one by one.

A human would ordinarily be looking to expand and look for more moons to mine, unless your ... (wont mention the name).

I know. I only play against AI, so my strats are terrible against humans.

i usualy research all the map before attacking, and if i saw you trying to build a base in the other sector, i would stop you, and i'm quite sure others would too

Doesn't the comp send more ships to your new base, and attack it as he did with the first one?
I think this is only a waste of time, because u could as easily fortefy the starting base so that comp would have no chance of destroying it.

that is correct and u can only use your secondary base for mining operations, and keep a small task force in it for defence
