Not that bad with the current Warp-In limits and fragile hull, I also wouldn't call 2 ships 'spam'.

Well the ability to POSSIBLY get 2 at a time means the possiblility to get really lucky on warpins.

Indeed but if someone managed to get lucky and get a swarm of steamrunners betweeen losses of their other warpins, they could have the ability to quickly kill an entire base.

Fast-firing Dual Micro-torp. launching escort cruiser:    Still a missile boat, but faster, and tougher. (without all those volatile warheads taking up armour space)  And who the C- called the Intrepid a "Science Vessel?"  It's an interceptor/destroyer, or something along those lines.

Fleetops Micro-torps- Sus'a style.  Hell, in that case it might even make mixed-tech with some fed-adapted klink weps (they've done it before)
