that wouldn't have helped, frigates are useful mainly against low defence targets, of which mayson has very few. monsoons, intreps and akiras are all too high in defence when ur playing mayson.

frigates also get pulse reduction, but feds use very few pulses.

  Well what I meant by that was simply that Mort could have benefitted from using some Generix's in general.  Clearly Specs are better off against Feds than frigates are, but Frigates will BURN through miners like it's their job.


   I even mentioned though that Mort was probably avoiding them just as I tend to avoid them .

 They're not gonna FAIL again Mayson, they're just not quite as useful as Specs would be.

by that time mort already had enough ships to burn through miners fast. frigates would have been a liability against mayson feds.

i liked his use of rhienn upgrades, they showed their usefullness, he never needed warbirds lol.

  I was just trying to be a little open-minded .  Specters are CLEARLY the way to go to hard-counter Feds, but I'd PREFER not to encourage that strategy as I feel it's a bit unbalanced now.  Frigates would not be the most efficient, you're correct Myles.  However, they would still be cheaper to create and more solidly fighters than the Torp Rhienns.  All the vessel Mort built were very expensive units, so I was just throwing it out there that (if he felt he needed more ships to cover his territory) he could easily put out some Generix Refits of whichever type he chose .

i think he was right to build the rhienn torp refits, they allowed him to base trade easier with butterbread. i fear if he had gens of any type he may have been much slower at killing buildings. leaving butterbread to rebuild faster lol.

  The Gens would have been MUCH better at destroying the Monsoons though .

 Not saying he did anything wrong, of course.  I had just said (in case anyone else was watching ) and wondering what ELSE he could do, Gens of either type would be nice as well .

 I forgot that Officer Myles is on duty today .

i have 3 regen modules, so i can regen and stay on duty.

    Mort and I had a romulan vs romulan game once. I destroyed his base, his entire fleet (except 1-2 frigates), but he had managed to sneak off a constructor, build a couple yards in  distant corners of the map, build 8 generexes, and come back to destroy my entire fleet in under 20 minutes... My laheavels had advanced energy reeling, and my caehlars had their disrupter bombardment. Lets just say that after that game, Mort and I both realized the power of Generexes, and we get very angry whenever we see someone spam them.
   Just yesterday, we played a 3v4 against a new player, I cant remember his name. All he really did was spam Generex Spectres like theres no tomorrow, and kept mort and I both running the entire game. Finally we engaged those 30 generex spectres and supports and somehow managed to beat them only to run into beats 20 akiras and 10 e2s... I guess mort and I used the decent, canaverals, and laheavels very effectively ... So yes, we hate them with a passion, and only use them as a last resort.

   @Myles. Right below the pic it says, "destroy that target, lock weapons and fire!".
