Calm down. The smily indicated that it was not meant as offence (the same counts for Mal accusing me of spam)...even though the "Why the hell" was there and might have been a too strong language for some bible folks
. And being a jerk is ok for me as long as I don't lie about what i say. Btw. why do you think I can't do that replay stuff? Because there are no replays made by me?don't forget that there is not Non-Stop Action going on
There is commentary...thats good enough. Music is really not needed and just makes understanding more difficult.

I really like the music on replays. ( It was also very nice to hear the Prelude to War track from BSG, its one of my favorites 
) Its just needs to remain on the background thats all. Thanks for the replays Yandon and Mal, I learned a lot of stuff from them. (I also looking forward to the "totorial" stuff about counters)

Drrrr, you being accused of Generix spam is like the entire human population being accused of breathing air. And don't sweat it, Boggz. I appreciate feedback from everyone. Camstudio is a fickle mistress, and I'll probably move to fraps eventually. I like trying to figure out the right configurations for everything, and I learn something new each time I make a video. Once I have it perfected, I'll put up the new settings for everyone, if anyone else wants to use that program and virtualdub.
As far as music vs no music/effects is concerned, my goal is to have about 2/3 of the sound being commentary, and 1/3 being music/effects. There has to be some music and attack sounds to set the ambiance, so long as it never drowns out the voice of the commentator. I think fraps is easier in this regard as well.
I'll keep playing with the settings, as I'm getting closer each time, I think. Camstudio's main benefits over fraps is that it is far less resource intensive, and performs compression while recording. That might be important later on for someone else, and the hard work of figuring this all out will have been done for them.
