Interesting...

Nice to see how that map works. I'm guessing it is made by Boggy?

Anyway, I like these replays, makes me think of how to predict players for the next time I do play.

Edit: Also, please give me feedback on the cursor. For some reason I can't have the normal FO cursor. So I either have the win 7 circle cursor, or I can select to hide the cursor. i noticed the sound issues, it was weird not hearing cloak sounds lol.

about the cursor, that circle cursor is the cursor windows 7 provides when something is busy. in old windows it was the hourglass. all i can think of is that one of your programs is hogging up resources and causing that cursor. still its better than no cursor at all. so i vote for keep some cursor.

Right. What's surprised me is nothing is nothing is being hogged, as the replays are nice and smooth (unless someone else is lagging). I've just chalked it up to one of those strange quirks of camstudio + Win 7. Actually, I might try camstudio 2.5beta and see how that does. The Fraps demo has been giving me problems of my own.

I'll probably end up with the cursor for now unless someone has a different opinion.

I have one suggestion...plz dont use the 3d mode while commentating...it is so annoying. And try to move the screen you are observing less...if you move too much it is also very annoying. Everything else is fine.

@ Drrr - can you expand on "so annoying"? There are currently conflicting opinions as to the inclusion of the 3-D view in replays and I (and I'm sure Mal) would like more detailed feedback on this matter.

I wouldn't go so far as to say its annoying but it is harder to follow what's going on when you guys switch to 3d mode.

I also want to add a big thank you for all your hard work in doing the replays, great job guys! :thumbsup:

I've actually gotten quite a lot of positive feedback on 3D mode. For example, watching Boggz's ambassador blow up to Mort's brel fleet was very pleasant to watch.

Yandonman and I have been in discussion as to when to use Cinematic mode and when to not. Feedback is always welcome, of course, but we intend to do more such shots in the future. ^-^

It's funny how we've gotten used to pronouncing names, only to find out they are pronounced completely different. :blush:

Thanks for the game beat2k and thanks also to yandon for commenting! Was a great game and also the cinematic view i like very much when you leave us to enjoy the blow ups. Never saw him using 3D during the match. What you can do though is to get rid off the ui components when doing 3D view with alt+i or ctrl+i (i forgot).

The point with the 3d view is...I cant see how ships are managed by ppl and I cant see possible ambushes or so.
