As much as you would like to make one, I would like to be IN one... even if its not a replay. The problem is you will find more alive ppl in a graveyard these days! :crybaby:

I could always make consessions to destroy you. But i don't play much these days. You'd have to be able to put up a really good fight to convince me to come out of hibernation......

how about a new map?  Cause I just made one and it's awesome, and you should try it out.

Yandoman and GetReady2Die did fine against double Dominion! Romulan and Borg build up so slow that was fun to watch.

Yeah, that was a rough game. I dunno - what could Ready and I have done differently? I feel that by the time my fleet got cloak detected wiped out, we had already lost. Any suggestions?

( think warbird yard(s) were the wrong route ... probably should have just 3x staryard-ed and gone a mix of leahvals and gens and rhienns... en mas... but not sure)

A small combination of things that built up did you in ->  :)

1. Essentially, attacking items you couldn't kill (attacking next to yards).

2. Not being more aggressive: you sat around your base a bit too often with healthy Romulan ships that could have been killing his undefended miners: forcing him to go all in, or run around.

3. Single station mining. Your resource intake was probably 2/3 to 1/2 that of your opponents (the mining station was waaay too far away from the moons to mine efficiently).

4. Decloaking when your opponent is chasing you with cloak detect - you lost 60% of your hitpoints without even getting shot at, and he could see all of your units.

5. Microing units out of battles - you waited far too long for most of your units to get out, and many of them were sitting in front of the yard fighting, when they should have been sitting near the yard entrance.

6. Yup, the Warbird Yard did not seem to be your style, as you kept all your fleet blobbed up and so weren't harassing effectively while the Warbirds were building.

7. Fighting as a team. The vast majority of the time both of your Dominion opponents had their fleets combined, but you and your ally were fighting 1v2 most of the time (or being late to the party). -> hand in hand with that goes more communication. There were points where trading resources could have really made a difference as you sat on 2000 dilithium for a fair amount of time.

I don't know if it helps, but from our perspective our builds were to counter what we thought was going to be a  Scube/Leahval rush....then branch-out from there.  I actually rushed that center yard for map control, which pretty-much dictated the entire battle.  When we saw the dode turret from the Borg, and Rheinns from you, Beat switched over to S2's after he started his Large yard building.  Beat had his scout shadowing the Borg constructor, which is why we were able to spot & kill that first Borg dode.  We felt that we had the advantage early-on after that first dode turret kill and your Leahval/Rheinn losses, and pressed on with that.

He also saved-up for the large yard, which I wasn't able to do because of expansion placing on that map.  By the time you first attacked my yard in the center, Beat had already expanded to his expansion moon pair (top-right Di, and center-right Tri).  His top-left expansion was never attacked.

At that point, you went for Eresis out of the Warbird yard, which I believe was a good decision on your part because it countered those B5's, and supported your Griffins.

I think what lost the game was that your Borg ally went pure Dodes for about the first 15 minutes.  He probably would have been better served to mix-in a couple "Full Adaption" Adaptors ( for the Torpedo compensation) earlier in the game.  Even though his Dodes countered my bombers, I had so many of them, I was doing more damage than his 3-4 Dodes could dish-out.  By the time he fielded two Adaptors, Beat had a solid fleet of S2's and B5's, and I was just soaking damage for them.

Other than that, pretty much what Dom said...  We really did a good job of keeping our fleets together, and fighting battles we thought we could win.  It was just a matter of keeping our ship production up, to account for our losses.
